In 1995, it was born as a research center in the area of infrastructure, 5 years after, it became an economic and regulatory consultancy serving national and international clients, becoming recognized as one of the 100 most influential consultancies in Brazil in the energy sector in the year of 2016 and, currently, it is a reference in the infrastructure sector in the country.

In 2019, the creation of CBIE Advisory, an integral part of the Brazilian Center for Infrastructure based in Rio de Janeiro arose from the evolution of sector discussions over the past 6 years and the verifying that the country lacks consulting institutions that combine Think Tanks’ own technical knowledge with practical and pragmatic experience of implementing projects and operational and financial optimizations with an integrated view of the Oil & Gas and electrical sectors, as well as sanitation.
